Pre-Hispanic Mexican Cuisine: Reviews & Ratings
What a pleasant surprise my Chiliquiles was this morning. I was looking for breakfast downtown and PreHispanic Mexican Cuisine did not disappoint. The portion size was huge, two meals easily, it was fresh and tasty. I ordered it with scrambled and green sauce, just right for my spice level. I was pleasantly greeted and waited on outside enjoying the lovely Fall weather. The server even brought me a bowl of water for my dog.
We’re so glad we chose this spot for our Saturday breakfast! Every dish we ordered was outstanding. Even the hash browns were a standout, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. Our notoriously picky eater cleaned his plate and even asked for seconds! The French toast was heavenly, and the traditional Mexican coffee was rich and flavorful..truly a treat. We enjoyed our meal on the dog-friendly patio, where the service was warm and attentive. There’s even more seating in the charming side garden, and everything from the tables to the chairs was spotless. Generous portions, fair prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Casual and comfortable, with great food and great service thanks to Luis. I saw they had cochintas on a torta and I really wanted it on tacos and he accommodated me, so good! My table also shared carne asada tacos and the pastor yucateco, both strong recomends. Salsas were both great, one with a little more heat, but both flavorful. Im not from around here, but if I was, I would be back all the time. Looks like they had a great outdoor bar and seating area for warm days and evenings. Also, the best churros, I have had, setved with awesome horchata ice cream!
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday evening, and we’re already planning our next visit to try out all the other amazing dishes! Jeremy was our server, and he was absolutely fantastic—so attentive, professional, and a huge bonus was how often he refilled our water glasses (we drank a lot!) We had the chicharron dumplings were tasty. My wife had the shrimp and chorizo tacos and they were one of the best tacos she’s had. I had the ribeye and add an amazing flavor and it paired well with the potatoes. The churros were well made crispy and outside and soft in the inside.
Jeremey our server recommend a variety of tacos and he wasn’t wrong! The chips and the guacamole were so fresh. Agua Fresca was . Quality and price will be back for the churro! The service was one of the best I’ve had in Morgan hill. I will be back for sure.
Out of the ordinary Mexican food in the best way possible. This place serves nothing but the finest and freshest tasting food. It goes beyond your usual expectations of what is Mexican food. Pre-hispanic is exactly that. Fresh healthy food that was enjoyed by indigenous people prior to the arrival of Europeans. We ordered four different items and all four were delicious and nicely presented. Even the salsa was prepared fresh at our table.
A wonderful new spot in Morgan Hill. They have a spacious outdoor patio. On Taco Tuesday they have great deals on street tacos- $3 per taco and they were very yummy! We will definitely be returning.
